Battle of the Immortals Product Manager Jon Belliss returns for a fourth developer diary, this time focused on the game's content.

In the video, Jon walks us through a snapshot of the content progression in the game.  Players should expect to hit level 20 "pretty quickly," and that's when you'll gain access to your first instanced dungeon "Knight's Jail."

The dungeon is fairly short and easy to complete, as long as "you don't have a team full of idiots." I like this guy. Have I mentioned that before? Another interesting aspect of Knight's Jail is the fact it averages out the level range of the entire team make up, which allows players to tackle this content even with a mix of higher and lower level players. Lower level (below 30) players will also be happy to know that if they screw up and get killed they'll be able to instantly revive using what is called a "Perfect Revive."

At level 40, players gain access to the Dragon Emperor Catacombs dungeon, as well as the ability to acquire their first set of Soul Gear. Soul Gear is one of Battle of the Immortals most standout features, as Soul Gear evolves with your character, and is very highly animated. Dragon Emperor Catacombs also features easy and normal modes, the former is meant for players level 40-45, and has a diminished chance of dropping Soul Gear. Normal mode is for players 45+, and has a higher chance to drop Soul Gear.

Once you hit level 60 you'll have access to the Spectre Island dungeon, which pits you against tons of undead pirates. The dungeon is strewn with many mini bosses and tons of lucrative quests. Like Dragon Emperor Catacombs, Spectre Island includes easy and normal mode, as well as an additional elite mode. Elite mode provides an even higher chance to drop Soul Gear and allows players to fight the dungeons final boss again once they reset the dungeon, giving them two chances at awesome loot.
