Since the launch of Albion Online nearly two weeks ago, the game has been plagued with a number of issues, most pertaining to server hardware. In a new post today, the team acknowledged the major problems and what will be done in short-term, mid-term and in the long run to bring these problems to a close.

Acknowledged problems include:

Overcrowding - This is not an issue that additional servers can solve. As an example, "if you traveled back in time 20 years with a copy of Overwatch, you could not run it, even if you used the combined power of 1.000 PCs from back then". Over the course of time, overcrowded locations will be split before instancing market locations in towns.

Lag in Large Scale Fights - "There is a hard technical limit to how many players can take part in a single fight without lag happening". To solve the issue, more optimizations will be pushed including increasing the number of players that can be in a given fight, though a limit will still exist.

Server Reboots - At irregular intervals, the system's data handling spikes that causes de-sync issues and black screens. They are in contact with Apache Cassandra to identify and solve the problem.

Compensation - "Everybody who has played since release and today will be compensated with an additional 7 days of premium time. Additional compensation will be rewarded if the issues persist.
